Salmon and Brown Rice Dog
I use 70% human grade items for my dogs food but do think it's important to have a bit of kibble to keep the crunch and teeth clean. I don't trust some of the big name brands that put made in USA but ingredients are sourced mainly from China. So far the salmon kibble seems to be well received by my picky dogs. I have tried removing as much chicken and chicken related ingredients from both of their diets because it's commonly linked to skin allergies which both of them have dealt with for quite some time and even take Apoquel for several week periods at various times throughout the year. After 3.5 months of feeding this kibble with the Honest Kitchen Dehydrated Base , Bone Broth Powder mix with water and freeze dried liver, they have not taken Apoquel in 2.5 months. The price isn't cheap but it isn't overpriced either. I'd say it's very fair for the product received. If you are looking for a decent dry food on the simpler ingredient side, give Amazon Wag Dry Food a try. Dogs are better than people and should be fed accordingly:)
My dog eats this up. I adopted her after she was tied to a tree for 4 years was fed only table scraps. It has been difficult to find a dry food that she would eat. She ate right away, but I have a big problem with the amount of powder (disintegrated kibble) in the food. It is about 20%. She won't eat the powder. Is this because of rough handling by the delivery or is this normal?
My Frenchie is allergic to chicken, but if you read labels, even "beef" dog food has chicken byproducts. Chicken fat is not a protein, so that's okay for her. This food also has whole grains. Studies show that dogs on a no grain diet have higher incidences of heart problems, so my vet doesn't recommend the " no grain" foods. Wags lamb and brown rice fill the bill.
My dog is sensitive to chicken. When I read chicken fat is safe, I decided to give this a try. He hasn’t been severely itchy and having stomach troubles at all. My only complaint would be the price. $60 is kind of steep for my budget.
My dog wasn’t to impressed , value good
my dog doesnt love eating, but he eats this food. looks healthy with description, but the fact that he eats it as well and the whole bowl, im happy with it
My dogs are picky, but they really love this food. The ingredients compare to one of the expensive brands at a far better price.
Dogs love it
