Dog loves it. She was nervous about the crinkle sound at first but she also DIDN'T DESTROY it in 5 minutes and now she's napping next to it and it's intact. Since she's a stuffy destroyer, only time will tell but she sure does love it. This is the edit. Next Day: duck is nothing but a shell of what she was! The squeaker and every tiny bit of stuffing from beak is gone. She loves her empty Duck. By late in the day on the day it came, she was down to the Crinkle and I pulled what was left out of the duck - because who knows what that is made of? Dog is happy with her cute blue empty duck - she can shake it all night long!
I was worried that the duck was not going to be as large as I was thinking in my head. I will say that this is a great steal of a deal when it goes on sale for $5.99. I wouldn't pay more than that ONLY because it is a basic toy and you could probably find something similar at a tjmax. With that being said, I would def order this duck again if I needed to. The squeaker inside is great. It has great crunch to it that my cockapoo puppy loves. This duck is now one his babies. The duck is large so if you have a big dog like a lab or golden retriever or bernese mountain dog, it would still be a great toy especially when they are puppies. 10/10 would recommend.
I primarily bought this because I wanted to test its durability. It had been all over TikTok and social media for that reason. I also bought this for my foster who chews a lot. He was a pit bull mix. Unfortunately, he tore through that toy after a week and a half. I think it was worth it, but I expected it to last at least a month or during his entire stay with me. I do love that it doesn't have much stuffing, and we wouldn't have to worry about him eating what's inside and possibly having to go to the vet. I think that it's not the toy's fault, and it just really depends on the dog (his demeanor and current state). My foster had been in the shelter for a long time before I was able to take him, so he might have been stressed. So just be mindful of that. For the price, I think it's worth it - the toy could be a months-long $5 investment (as folks have said it lasted them that long) or just a quick 1-day fun time for your pup.
Well, it appears our canine overlord has developed a profound affection for the duck in question. Said duck has achieved a lofty status, frequently being liberated from the toy bin with a fervor that rivals a treasure hunter. Our doggy's definition of relaxation apparently involves retrieving the duck and requesting our participation in the esteemed game of fetch. In an intriguing twist, our dog has embarked upon a solo journey of entertainment by tossing the duck skyward, a remarkable feat in the world of DIY amusement. The duck has attained an almost celebrity-like status in our household, with antics that keep us thoroughly entertained. Also, it doesn't fray or tear easily -- and you can easily hand wash it if you need to, in our experience. Great Toy!
Got this ducky for our new puppy. It has a crinkle feature. We have all sorts of toys in this home just not crinkle ones. And after turning up their nose at most of the other toys. I thought okay we'll try this. And puppy approves!! Puppy likes the crinkle feature and throttles this toy happily. Puppy is not an aggressive chewer. So I don't know how well this toy would stand up to that action. Our aggressive chewer isn't remotely interested either. Thank you Best Pet Supplies, I recommend.
My 8 month old puppy loves this! We call it a duck, but it looks like a platypus. Easier for her to learn so we call it a duck. I tell her go get duck and she runs to it. The first few times she played with it I had to look up to see what she was doing. She loves paper so the crackle in it gives her the paper vibe. Recommend it. She has destroyed other toys, but not her "duck."
We’ve purchased 2 already (in 6 months- still have the ripped up first one as back up, just bought the new one last month). My pup absolutely loves his ducky. He knows his name and everything. Only concern was that I didn’t realize when he was starting to tear into it, he was eating the crackle paper. Just would want to keep an eye on it as it starts to tear like any other toy. For the money, you really can’t beat it!
I have 2 gentle giants, but don’t let gentle fool you they will tear apart toys. These surprisingly have lasted 3 months and still going strong! My GSD and Belgian both prefer soft toys over kongs and other durable toys for animals their size. So I’m always on Amazon looking for low priced options for squeaky soft toys since I know they won’t last one. Purchased this because it was on sale and I imagined it would be destroyed in a couple days or weeks..but to my surprise both are still going strong and have become a favorite between my two doggos. The squeakers only lasted a day for them but the aspect of the crunchy noise has remained a point of interest for them. Definitely will be repurchasing once these ones are destroyed.
