My cats weren’t too thrilled with this purchase, but I was! Easy to wash them and trim nails, now that they’re used to it, I’m glad I got it, made my life easier!
Update- going to have to return, you need something really structurally sound to hang this off and what I thought would work for us, ended up not being able to support his weight. It’s still a great product however ! The amount of accessories that come with this really made this option stand out to me. They aren’t the most high quality pieces but they are a good “for now” option and a great way to kill two birds with one stone so to speak. I’m using for my 20 lb dachshund it seems sturdy enough but I do worry about this holding up a heavier dog. Hopefully they use a more heavy duty fabric. I got this to hoist my dachshunds up to brush their teeth. It’s extremely soft and cushy. The size small works for my standard doxies. It also came with 4 small carabeaners. All in all a nice purchase
Got my dog into the sling fairly easily. Used the hooks that came with the sling to hang her from a bar. She couldn’t move around but she could reach down and try to bite me while I was trimming her nails.
Item was great in theory. We were able to use it as described for my fat cat, but my smaller (more athletic) cat could easily get out. Definitely was traumatizing for all involved. Had to return.
I don’t know why I didn’t think to buy this sooner. This hammock is a life saver for our 12lbs minpin mix. She wiggled the first few minutes during the nail trim, but soon relaxed shortly afterwards. Thank you.
I haven't used it yet but all the items pictured were included.
I recently adopted a stray and wanted to be able to clip his nails without traumatizing him, so I bought this product hoping it would help with that. I bought the smallest size and liked that it came with so many accessories I might need. First of all, there aren't any instructions so I had to check out the pictures on the product page. You have to put the two straps into their corresponding clip things then tighten the straps before you even have your pet in the sling. I did that and tightened it the most I could. Then I laid it down on the floor and had my cat walk onto it. I then put his front legs through two holes and folded the sling sides up but couldn't fasten the straps while I was doing that and he was trying to get out, so I had to ask someone to help me. We tried to tighten the straps as much as possible while he was squirming to get out, but he was too small for them to fit snugly. I had to hold him by the scruff of the neck, have the other person hold the sling handles, then tried to get his back feet into the other two holes. In the meantime, he'd managed to get his front paw out of one hole and stick his head in it in his bid to escape since the fabric is very flexible and didn't hold him still. We finally got him to properly be in the sling, then we had to maneuver the straps into the first carabiner that attached to the straps that were to hold him up. Even with two people, that was impossible while the cat was squirming trying to get out of the sling and mainly succeeding. We finally gave up and wrapped him in a towel with his head covered so that we could cut his nails. So...this sling would be good for regular sized docile/tame pets, but not for our smaller stray. I'm giving it four stars because the make of the sling was good quality and so were the accessories. It just didn't do for us what we needed it to.
