Rinsing their feet before they come inside helps to remove the irritants from their feet and reduces the amount of allergens that make it into your home.
We bought the large to use on our labrador. This is the second brand we tried from Amazon, the first one we bought (in a large) could get her back paws in but it was not large enough for her front paws (my hand fits with ease and I don't have small hands). This is convenient to use and absolutely large enough with room to spare. Easy to use and rinse out. We wash her paws frequently, after every walk and often when she just comes in from the backyard because she has sensitive paws and licks and chews on her paws a lot (vet says it's a dead grass sensitivity/allergy), so giving them a quick rinse helps her that. We'll sometime put a little of her shampoo in there, then give the paws another dunk in just water. It's easy to rinse off the soap and dirt. Highly recommend.
Pros: Does exactly what it’s supposed to, quickly and efficiently. Easy to clean! Cons: Too fat for my hand so I found it very hard to hold, but I also have child-sized hands so this will likely not be everyone’s experience. My husband had no issues. A little handle to slip your hand through and rest on the back of your hand as you grip the bottle with be an excellent improvement for me. I may try to hot glue something on to it and see if it lasts. Advice: Follow their suggestions on which size to purchase for your breed of dog. I went against their suggestion and bought the Medium because it seemed so big, but after using it I realize the Large would have been even better, and that’s what they suggested for a Husky. Lengthy Review: I got a Husky Weimaraner mix puppy in April and he’s about 9 months and 65 pounds now. When we got him in the spring (wet and muddy time of year) we were potty training and only taking him out on the leash, so I don’t remember having any major issues with muddy paws. I had no idea what we were in store for with our first winter with an active puppy! We got a couple early snows and hard rains that turned the yard to mud, with no summer sun to dry it out. The other night the dog came in and my husband was holding each paw for me while I dunked it in a Miller Lite pitcher of warm water and soap. His massive paws, plus my hand, plus a washcloth, plus the wide open design of a plastic beer pitcher, was just a recipe for disaster! We had mud water everywhere, and it took forever to clean him up. Immediately after drying him off I headed to Amazon to purchase this. I had seen it before so I knew it existed but never thought about it again until that fateful night. Fast forward maybe two days later and we have another hard rain and another muddy paw fiasco, but this time I had the trusty MudBuster (because obviously Amazon got that thing delivered lighting fast, thank goodness)! I hadn’t even read the directions yet but just filled it up with warm water and a tiny drop of dish soap (soap isn’t necessary but are a shoe free house and we baby wipe his paws every time he comes in the door, even on dry days, so soap was necessary for my peace of mind in the cleanliness department) and went to town on his paws. I quickly realized it was way too full and made a little bit of a mess there, but otherwise, this thing is GENIUS. As far as I’m concerned, every dog parent needs this. I purchased the Medium size even though their information said to purchase the Large for a Husky, and when I received it I thought that was the right call because it seemed so big, but after spilling some water out I realized the Large probably would have been better. So, I would trust their suggestions on sizes based on breed. I’ll just add a little less water and be fine with this Medium size, but if anything ever happened to it and I needed to purchase another one, I’d go for the Large. Super happy with this purchase!
I was very skeptical about buying this but I desperately needed something for my dogs muddy paws. I’m happy with my purchase because this really does clean my dogs paws. I’ll only use it if they are really bad & just use a towel or wipes if they aren’t horrible. My one complaint is that it’s a bit difficult for one person to use alone because your dogs paw has to be perfectly straight. If you tilt or try using it at an angle the water spills everywhere. Other than that it’s great & really does work.
I was definitely a skeptic at first but this works shockingly well! I have an 110lb malamute with big furry paws that sponge up mud. Cleaning his paws after walks was becoming so much work I almost broke down and bought some embarrassing booties. Luckily I took a chance on this instead and I couldn’t be more pleased. It’s easy to use and takes less than 5 seconds to clean each paw.
My dogs love to dig in the muddy spots in my backyard. During the winter I either need to not let them go out in the yard (can't do that!) or know that I'll have to wash their paws when they come in. MudBuster Paw Washer to the rescue. I used to use a big bowl but then I'd have to do a lot of scrubbing too to get the dirt/mud from their toes and toenails. With this product, I just put their paws in and out and the bristles do the cleaning. The word bristles sounds hard, but these are soft and pliable, so it's like they are getting a washing and massage at the same time. I have three dogs and none of them love having their paws washed but none of them mind it with this. One of the dogs doesn't like anyone touching her feet and even she doesn't mind, so it's very gentle. And it works great! One thing to know is that if there's a lot of dirt or mud, you'll need to rinse and change out the water for different paws. I'm happy to have that inconvenience to have such an easy way to clean their paws without putting them in the bath.
I purchased the MudBuster portable dog paw washer in size medium for my English Springer Spaniel, and I have some mixed feelings about it. Normally, I just use a bowl of water to clean my dog's paws by dipping them in and squeezing with my fingers. To be honest, that method seems to remove more dirt compared to shoving their paw into the cylinder with silicone scrubbers. While the MudBuster does a decent job, I still find myself having to wipe down my dog's paws after using it. Fortunately, my dog doesn't seem to mind the scrubbers inside, so that's a plus.My main gripe is the lack of a handle. When my hands are full, it's super easy to accidentally knock this thing over, especially when it's wet, and that can be a quite frustrating. All in all, it's an okay product for really muddy days, but it's not a magic dog foot cleaner, in my opinion. It wasn't quite what I had imagined, and it only helps to a certain extent. I still find myself resorting to manually wiping the paws down in the sink every time they use this since they're low enough to get mud on their underside. I probably would not recommend this purely based on my experience, but it might work fine for dogs with different lengths of hair or who are coming in from the beach. Not great for mud.
