Our girl doesn’t do well at the groomers so we decided to give at home a go. She was able to sit in a fairly relaxed state the entire time she was trimmed. Nearly fell asleep. It’s not very loud and worked well with my easily stressed pup. The cut was even and the trim and guard sizes certainly helped when switching between hair thickness. If you’re a beginner, I’d recommend it. I started with trimming in the direction of her hair growth to cut some of the bulk down, then went against her grow pattern to to get the rest. Her hair is pretty coarse and was maybe two inches long. Once I got the hang of it, it went pretty quickly!
My previous clippers for my Maltipoo were from Wahl. I'll never go back after using these. Very good quality, less noise than the Wahl's. My girl really does well with these and just sits there instead of trying to leave and move around a lot. I think having the clipper head smaller (width) really helps. Very good battery life, I have used them 5 times now and still at 60% battery after the initial charge. Easy to handle in the hand, etc. Thinking about getting a second one for when these go out as you know how that goes, what you want years later they don't have anymore!!!! Happy grooming - mw
I don’t have much experience grooming dogs but I bought this to save some money with the groomers. It’s worked well. I have a doodle so he needs constant grooming. It takes me about and hour to shave his whole body and the battery ends up at about 40%. I always charge it after so it can be ready for the next use. It is fairly noiseless. The metal comb is a great addition. I don’t like how his curly hair gets stuck under the clipper guard so I have to take it off and clean it often. I’m not sure if it’s the machine or the fact that his hair is curly but that does become annoying.
I love these trimmers. The price was perfect! I have never groomed a dog or cut hair. My first time went well, made some mistakes, but the hair will grow back. My Dog is about 50#, 5 yrs old. He's very well behaved he sat ok, it did take 2 peopIe to do sensitive areas. I do his toe nails regularly, & he lets me. He is used to me, and he trust me. The hair siscors worked excelent around his face for neating up! I would recomed this kit! We go to the groomemer and it's $95.00 for a wash, nail trim, and hair cut so I'm extreamly satified for what I have to put out, and what I got out of it, and I'll be able to keep him maintained myself. It gave me some bonding time with my little buddy. Some times I think he thought I was just brushing him, they glided so smoothly. He was even calm and relaxed, he is so much happier with out all that hot fur too. I will also say they are very low noise which is an added bonus. What I used for cutting. I started with the 12 mm, then switched to the 9mm, around his paws I used no guide, If I do him again I think I will use the 9mm or 8mm also I cut with the grain of the fur, and it didnt take it down short enough, so I went in the opposite direction and that was the ticket he feels like as velor blanket now and it took me about a hour and the trimmers were fully charged upon arival & when we were done it was at 85% I did give him a few breaks and treets in between, & my kids can't stop petting him.
They work good. Cut both my dogs hair, and they cut smooth, easy to use.
It takes half the time compared to the clippers I had beforehand. Battery life lasts a really long time. Quality feels good and durable.
I got this product to use on our three dogs at home. It was surprisingly easy to use and pretty quiet. It also has an amazing battery life, we used it on your poodle mix and he took about an hour to fully groom and it hardly lost any battery life. My poodle can be quite picky when it comes to noises and objects near him, but with these he did great, hardly any issue. They also come with great sizes and everything you would need to clean and maintain it.
