This is wonderful. I have only charged it once and have trimmed my dogs a few times each already. It's easy to use and cuts through the doodle fur. The noise isn't bad and doesn't make them as nervous as our last clippers.
I love this product. I have been using a corded clippers on my dogs and cats and it worked fine if you don’t mind dealing with a heavy cumbersome clipper that makes your hands so tired and cramped. These new cordless clippers are fantastic and they work perfectly and I have used them many many times and not one issue do I have with them. The battery life is not an issue. I have used them two or three times without charging them and I have only seen them discharge by one LED meaning that they have 80% power remaining. My Lhasa apso loves her hair short during the summer and I allow her hair to grow out during the winter. Her hair is beautiful and silky and these clippers slice right through it like sheep sheers. I can’t believe how much hair comes off of her. I was hesitant about purchasing a new clipper because I have a perfectly good Whal pet clipper but like I mentioned before they are heavy and cumbersome. When I use them the noise bothers my pets and me. These new ones are really quiet, light and powerful. It comes with a Pro steel comb, lubricant, and 6 attachment combs from 3mm to 19mm to allow for a more regulated length during the cut. I highly recommend this product and I will keep my eyes open for other products made by this company. Don’t delay, buy it today! Hehe.
I have TWO Oster clippers. Both are broken. One broke after some time, the other broke almost at once. Naturally it broke after I had a dog half clipped down. Do you KNOW how stupid a dog looks half-clipped? Also, it turns out to be practically impossible to finish the job with a scissors. Even though I have a lot of Oster blades, I'm done with Oster. And I don't want to pay a lot for an Andis clipper that has no warranty and can't be returned. I don't trust clippers one bit at this point. So I googled "best dog clippers" and this one popped up at the head of someone's list. I read a few reviews, but really what I noticed was the price. At $39 instead of $159 plus $25 for each blade, well, THIS clipper is a lot more worth risking than an Andis. It arrived yesterday. I immediately read the directions, took the blade on and off, attached combs and detached them -- everything seemed fine and pretty easy to use. So I took my half-clipped dog out on the deck and finished the job. This clipper worked great. 2 mm turns out to be shorter than I thought it was, but at least I removed the ragged evidence of the terrible, incomplete clipping job. For the second dog, I used the 6 mm attachment. That was fine for her. So, things to love about this clipper: --Cordless, which it turns out I really, really like. --Quiet, which is fine but not important to me because the two dogs I'm clipping are elderly and deaf as well as cooperative. --Really quite easy to take apart and put together. Good directions about where to drip oil after use. --Charge more than adequate to finish clipping one dog and then clip the other. My dogs are small and I'm pretty experienced, but I can't imagine running out of charge. --Best of all, NOT BROKEN and also cheap enough to be replaceable if it does break. The comb that comes with this clipper is a very sturdy metal comb, exactly the kind I need for my dogs. The scissors seems nice too. Altogether a very good clipper set. If this breaks before the end of the summer, I'll revise this review, but right now I'm really, really happy I bought this clipper.
Just buy the clippers if your little one is as anxious as our terrier-chihuahua mix. You might not be the best at first because it takes time to learn but it’s worth it to see progress. My dog only trusts me and while it can be stressful for you both, grooming is necessary. These clippers are easy to assemble and the directions for care and use are simple to follow. I like the scissors and comb it came with too. The product comes well oiled. After use it does get very clogged and messy inside so I recommend it gets cleaned afterwards. The clippers themselves do make a humming noise but not too loud. With the help of string cheese my dog learned to sit nice and calm while I trim her up. I recommend washing your pet, blow drying then using this product. I like the 6mm length for a terrier cut. Use the scissors to shape up the face.
Bought these based on other reviews. Our daschund mix has thick hair and I've wanted to shave her forever so finally purchesed this shaver. OMG it was absolutely wonderful. Charged up quickly and when we started shaving her it worked fantastic on her fur. Now she looks so smooth and beautiful. I would definitely recommend these clippers plus they came with scissors and a comb and different guards for different dogs. Definitely recommend plus the price was excellent.
We got this clippers to clean up some matting from our rather large furry dog. I was a little worried based on the reviews that these clippers would not be up to the job, but was proven wrong. They were perfect for what we needed! The clippers appear well made, came almost fully charged out of the box, have two speeds settings, both of which are very quiet (very soft low frequency buzz, no high pitch components that I could tell). They cut easily through matted fur without bothering our rather skittish dog. And most importantly, they appear very safe and it seems impossible to hurt the animal in any way, other than their ego by giving a bad haircut :-). That said, I don't think the clippers would be suitable for a professional groomer, who would need more power and something that last them for years of daily use, but that is not how they are advertised. For that kind of application, you would have to go with a professional brand trimmer, which costs at least 5 times as much (and would be worth it for that purpose), and for sure that would also be much louder (you can get an impression on Youtube) and more scary for the animal, at least for ours. So, bottom line, 2 thumbs up for these clippers! I would recomment to use them for small jobs on a big dog, or big jobs on a small dog.
