We used these for our very first time grooming our mini schnauzer and they were great. Very good choice for beginners
I have 10-12 razors. I obviously work with dogs and do grooming on my dogs! I normally don’t like recharging items. But I have a dog that always required a chase. Well, this blade has a delightful hummm. But it’s got Power. I fully shaved 3 dogs. My runner stayed still so I could do her feet. One of the combs were broken in the box, I kept it anyway. I like the way it feels in my hands. I like the low sound. I like the changeable bladed. It’s a win!!
This is a great grooming set considering the relatively low price. My dog is on immunosuppressive drugs and can no longer go to the groomer for fear of him catching something. He desperately needed a haircut, but I didn't want to invest too much money on clippers since I didn't know how long I'd have to groom him myself (or if it's even something I'd be able to do). For less than the price of one visit to the groomer, I bought these clippers and a set of scissors. I've never used clippers before, but these were really easy to use. They were pretty quiet and quite comfortable to hold and use from different angles. I love that it's cordless and allows me to groom my dog outside. I was worried the blade would get hot, but it stayed cool the whole time I was using it. I have a 20 lb cockapoo with wavy, fine hair, but there's a lot of it. These clippers worked well on him, although I did need to make a few passes sometimes to get through all the hair. I did have to stop fairly often to pull hair out of the guide comb and brush hair out of the blade, but it wasn't a big deal for me. Sometimes the clippers did get a little stuck going through his fur, but that's because he had a tangle. As long as I combed through his fur well and the blade/comb wasn't clogged with fur, it worked great. I thoroughly clean and oil the clippers every time I'm done using it (I find an old toothbrush works better than the little brush that was included). The included directions didn't give very good instructions on how to do this, but there are a number of videos on You Tube that show you how. The accessories that came with the kit were not too bad. I love the comb. The tips were rounded with no sharp edges and worked great for detangling my dog. The nail clippers felt a bit cheap, but they cut cleanly. The straight scissors was okay. I haven't used the other accessories yet. The negative things about these clipper are: 1) I wish there were other guide combs that would allow me to trim my dog's fur just a little bit shorter (I'm too nervous to use the clippers without the guide comb), 2) The directions that came with the kit are not very clear, and 3) I found the company's website to be a little "iffy". I typed in the website listed on the instructions for registering your warranty - it didn't work, so I googled the company name and eventually found the warranty page. When I went to register my warranty - it said it I would receive an email confirmation, but I didn't (I registered again just to make sure I didn't enter my email address wrong, but still no confirmation was received). Also, when I clicked on their website to see what other products they have, I got an error message saying the page wasn't working (I tried several times on different days from different computers and got the same error message). I just hope if I ever need to contact the company that I'll be able to get through to someone and that this isn't some bogus company. Overall, I think if your dog is small or medium sized and you don't need heavy duty clippers, these are a great buy. I think I did a pretty good job considering I've never groomed a dog before. I'm happy with my purchase.
This grooming set is very nice and well made. That being said I don't feel like they are really low noise. The first time I went to use the clippers my dog heard the noise and ran like the wind. That being said this kit is durable and easy to use....if you can get your dog to stay still. I would purchase this kit again if needed as its not the product it my very wired dog. I'm trying to turn this on and off in her presensce to get her used to the hum which is not loud but is present. So far not going really well. The kit itself has everything you need to groom your pet, clipper/comb etc.
Really like these clippers I had them before lost them in a move and just recently purchased them again and as I expected still does a great job and holds long charge.
We bought this set to use on our cavapoo. It didn't her her hair for nothing. It pulled so bad that it hurt her. The scissors, comb, etc are all of very great quality. The trimmers are just not powerful enough.
I liked using this set so much I just had to write a review!! I was nervous to try it that is why it took me so long and 100’s of dollars later on grooming and product fees only to find out I could have saved a bunch of money! My Dog is very skiddish and hair if left too long without doing becomes matted hence the high groomer fees. I decided to give it a go since I’m only working part time and she was in desperate need of a cut. I took my time and let her get comfortable as many times as she needed. The quiet whisper of the motor made it easier for sure. I was able to cut around her face, ears, eyes and chuff like a pro, she barely flinched where as before she used to. Comes with basic, yet essential accessories. By the time I was done with her, she looked like she had been done at a salon. Her nails... wellllll that’s another story, going to go to a pro for those, but I will say I did a pretty good job trimming her paws and her pads!! This purchase is a WINNER for sure!!! You will be very pleased!! Ohhhh one more thing... THE MOST IMPORTANT THING.... the blade NEVER GOT HOT and I NEVER KNICKED her!!! Have fun!! Just take your time and you will be very satisfied.
Every pet owner should have this set. I gave as a gift to a dog owner and they use all the time. Less expensive trips to the dog groomer.
