Our dog had a brief viral illness, during which time we were encouraged by our vet to switch from “Liberty”brand food to Purina Pro Plan . Rosie, our lab mix 1.5 year old would not eat either food. We were cooking rice with broth and eggs for almost two weeks. Then we introduced Nutrish whole blend chicken with vegetables food and she immediately ate the food. She ate a small sized bag and then we could not find the food at local stores. We purchased a small bag of Beneful food and she stopped eating again. Our dog gets bored with his regular food, and this is a very reasonably priced quality food to mix. He likes the smell and flavor, rejuvenating his desire to eat. The kibble size is also to his liking, even though he is a large dog (90 lbs.), the smaller kibble is appetizing. Also, our dog has never gotten diarrhea using this brand as a mix, unlike what we have experienced in the past with other dog food products.

my dog loves this food and it does have better ingredients than a lot of other foods, but the price keeps going up and for months now i've noticed they don't seal the bags very well. there isn't much glue holding the folded top of bag closed and if i buy it online sometimes it comes open and spills all over the box, and even buying it in a store if picking it up by the top it pops open very easy and spills.
I've switched from Iams back to Rachel Ray. The dogs made it pretty clear this is the food they prefer.
