  • Powerful and effective grooming tool

First off, a warning: do not do what I did! Make sure the wand is turned to the off setting before turning on the water. I neglected to do this, and sent a very powerful spray of water across my bathroom into the wall, window, curtains, and my new roll of tp. On the plus side, I was deeply impressed that the water pressure on this sucker is that strong, to shoot across an entire room and soak half the bathroom in a matter of seconds it took until my panicked husband and I could figure out how to turn it off! I groom dogs regularly out of my home, and needed something with good, strong spray power. This is it. On a big dog, with lots of coat, a few passes penetrates that coat and soaks the dog quickly. On a small dog or a dog with a short or thin coat, one slow pass will do the entire first soak. It’s amazing. It washes out dirt, plant life, and whatever other greasy grimies the dogs might have in their coats and gets them quickly prepped for shampooing. Once shampooed, it efficiently removes the shampoo and conditioner with ease and minimal scrubbing and hand squeegee work needed with other rinse tools I’ve used. It’s an easy install, it sprays powerfully, really my only complaint is that off is not really off- as stated in many other reviews. I actually almost didn’t buy this because of that issue, but in retrospect I’m glad I did. Yes, it’s a little annoying, but the flow on the off setting is light enough that it doesn’t cause undue mess as long as you keep it in the tub or a bucket. It’s certainly something the manufacturer should consider fixing eventually, but for my purposes, it’s an acceptable flaw. All in all a great little tool for bathing dogs. Cuts wash time in half. The dogs like it as much as they’re going to, and it does the job.

  • Best purchase ever for grooming dog

LOVE THIS! I have a golden retriever. Bathing him in a tub of water with a cup was awful. Decided to buy this and I don’t regret it. Not one bit. The spray of the hose is pure perfection for getting through his double coat. Before I even apply soaps to him, the spray from the hose takes out SO MUCH of the dirt and yucky stuff that builds up over time. Yet it’s gentle enough that it doesn’t hurt him. Basically, it’s an awesome design. Not to mention, it makes my job easier so I can do what I need to do in a much smaller time frame so he doesn’t need to go through the stressful bath process longer than needed. So he’s thankful for this as much as I am. Seriously, it was easy to install, anyone and I mean ANYONE can do it. It works. It’s convenient. And it’s not breaking the bank. I do not have one complaint so far!!! Also love that it comes with the little suction cup attachment so you have a place to hang the hose close to “your work” without needing to set it down in the bottom on the tub or draping it over the faucet. And with the different sprayer settings, it has a shut off setting too so you can save that water!!! Seriously the best thing little money can buy for your dog grooming needs in your own shower. Oh and it doubles as a rinse hose for when I clean the whole shower too so I don’t have to use a cup for that as well. Win win!!!

  • Just like a squeejee!

Works very well for both wetting and rinsing. The rinsing works great! The product is well made. The hose is plenty long. That being said, the hose is not the greatest material and not sure how long it will last. Since I will not be using it to often I don't think that will become a problem.

Very easy and universal hook up. Very effective and thorough rinsing. Didn't startle the pup at all. Great for indoor winter time baths.

  • This thing's pretty awesome!

Update: I just increased my stars to 4. I've really changed my mind about this product for the better. I really has made washing my little dog so much easier! And you can put the wand right up to their coat on their body and massage their coat while you rinse, and no water sprays all over the place! This thing really is awfully cool now that I've used it a few times. And I appreciated it more when I was visiting someone and had to bathe lil Bear in a regular tub! I'm tempted to give it five stars! --------------------- I waffled between 3 and 4 stars. It is a great idea for washing your dog. Installation was simple - if you follow the directions, it's quick and easy. Be sure to screw in the parts thoroughly or you'll have "leakage." Metal and plastic parts. What I like: There are three water settings: the lower pressure is great for rinsing your dog's head area, and the higher of course for the rest of their body. This was much easier on me than trying to cup water from the faucet and aiming it him, or trying to maneuver him under the faucet. Super super easy to first wet him down, turn the water down while I scrubbed him, and then thoroughly rinse him. You can hold your dog with one hand while you rinse with the other. If I had this installed in a bathroom I used to shower, it would be in the way. Instead, I installed this in a bathroom that is rarely used except to bathe lil Bear so the waterpik is out of the way (see what I don't care for). It was also efficient to wave that wand around and rinse the entire area of the shower/tub - something I would love when cleaning my own tub/shower area since it's difficult to rinse out the entire shower area when cleaning; however, it'd be a pain to unhook everything and then hook it up to the other bathroom showers every time I cleaned (but it would be a good idea!). What I don't care for: * One of the things I don't like about it is that the hose is rather stiff/inflexible when I hung it up in the shower. This semi-inflexible tubing also made it a little difficult to hang up the wand without it flopping out of the hanger - but it's there now and has stayed, so there's that. * $54 (at time of this review) is a little on the high end for this product. For $54, the "things I don't care for" would keep me from paying $54. I was a little surprised at the price, but perhaps I have unrealistic expectations of what these things cost. If I consider showerheads for people, and shower/bathroom accessories, then I suppose the price is not out of line. * The suction cup wasn't easy to suction, so I threw it in a drawer. I just walked in the bathroom and tried it again - It kept sliding around, then came apart - finally I was able to press really hard and get it to suction, but when I tried it closer to where I wanted it to be, same problem. I threw it back in a drawer - I likely wouldn't even use it anyway. Overall: I like the product but I'm not sure I'd personally pay more than $50 for it - however, that more has to do with how I have a small dog who is already very easy to bathe. If I still had my larger dogs, I'd love this waterpik petwandPRO a lot more - since my larger dogs were more difficult to bathe than Lil Bear is. So, I do recommend this to those of you who have larger dogs, or dogs who hate to be bathed. I think you'll be pleased. It does make it easier to bathe my small dog, but again, that price may hold me back.
